Moser, Kolo eigentlich Koloman Moser#

b. Vienna, March 30, 1868, d. Vienna, Oct. 18, 1918, painter, graphic artist and designer. Studied at the Vienna Academy and at the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts, founder member of the Vienna Secession, from 1899 teacher at the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts. In 1903 together with J. Hoffmann, founded the Wiener Werkstaette, of which both became joint art directors. Contributed to the magazines "Ver Sacrum", "Hohe Warte" and "Der liebe Augustin". 1904 designed the apse mosaic and the glass windows of the church "Am Steinhof" designed by O. Wagner. Left the Vienna Secession in 1905 together with the Klimt group; co-founder of the Werkbund, Oesterreichischer . His paintings were first influenced by the Impressionists, in his later years he was profoundly influenced by F. Hodler.
