Ö-Normen#
Standards, Austrian, common, unified listing of terms, characteristics and product-specific standards (quality, shape, dimension, testing methods etc.). The Austrian standards are laid down by "technical committees" of the Austrian Standards Institute. They serve as guidelines, setting standards for the quality and safety of products. Newly created Austrian standards, changes and deletions are announced in the official gazette amendment of the Wiener Zeitung newspaper. The significance of Austrian standards is decreasing as that of European standards is rising.
