ÖSTA, Sport- und Turnabzeichen, Österreichisches#

OeSTA, Sport- und Turnabzeichen, Oesterreichisches, (Austrian Sports and Gymnastics Certificate), a certificate awarded every year, starting in 1948, by the Ministry for Education for achievements in a number of sports disciplines. In the adult class there are 3 age groups and 2 achievement levels (basic, high performance); young people (2 age groups) are awarded the Oesterreichisches Jugendsport- und Turnabzeichen (OeJSTA). In order to obtain the certificate, participants have to complete 1 exercise each out of 5 fields of activity (swimming, long jump, high jump, running, strength and endurance exercises).
