b. Apatin (Hungary), Nov. 2, 1892, 
d. Hamburg (Germany), May 6, 1960, composer. From 1928 and in the 
1930s his operetta compositions and incidental music for films and 
plays were highly successful. Worked with F.  Lehár 
("Friederike", "Land des Laechelns") and the librettists F.  
Beda-Loehner and A.  Gruenwald. Emigrated to the USA in 1933, where he 
lived until 1958.
