Freud's theories in order to develop a marxist-psychoanalytical theory of education; established the central organization of Jewish youth groups in Austria and the Jewish Pedagogical Institute in Vienna; founded the Baumgarten Children´s Home in Vienna; 1937 emigrated to San Francisco.
