!!!Biedermann, Karl

b. Miskolc (Hungary), Aug. 11, 1890, 
d. Vienna, April 8, 1945 (executed), member of the resistance 
movement. During the uprising in February 1934 Commander-in-Chief of 
the Austrian Heimwehr militia, during World War II commander of the 
military police in Vienna with the rank of major. Together with 
Lieutenant R.  Raschke and Captain A.  Huth B. was a member of an 
extensive Austrian resistance unit that was preparing Vienna's 
peaceful surrender to the Red Army. After being betrayed, the three 
were sentenced to death in court-martials on April 6th and April 8th 
and publicly hanged at Floridsdorfer Spitz in Vienna.
