b. Berlin-Charlottenburg (Germany), April 21, 1900, 
d. Salzburg, Feb. 5, 1986, painter, studied at the Berlin Academy, 
member of the Berlin Secession, painted expressionist street scenes, 
the metropolis and its people in the 1920s; travelled through Europe, 
moved to Salzburg in 1933 and there became one of the most important 
Austrian glass painters.
