Birkmayer, Walther#

b. Vienna, May 15, 1910, d. Vienna, Dec. 10, 1996, neurologist, university professor, head of the L. Boltzmann Institute of Neurochemistry, head of the Department of Neurology at Lainz Hospital (Vienna). Improved the treatment of Parkinson´s Disease through the discovery of the L-Dope therapy (1961).
