d. Muehlbach am Hochkoenig (Province of Salzburg), March 3, 1982; ski 
jumper, trainer; first to exceed 100 metres at Planica in 1936, world 
champion in 1939 (Zakopane); active until the 1950s (1953 winner of 
the German-Austrian ski-jumping competition), from 1958 coach.
