Bramberg am Wildkogel, province of Salzburg, municipality in the 
district of Zell am See, alt. 819 m, pop. 3,658, area 116.94 
km%%sup 2/%, tourist resort (188,358 overnight stays per year). 
Situated in the Upper Salzach valley at the foot of the Wildkogel 
(alt. 2,225 m), west of Mittersill in the Pinzgau area. - "Felberhaus" 
multi-purpose hall, former emerald mine (commercial activity stopped 
in 1987), secondary college of domestic science, agricultural 
secondary school; wood processing (sawmill, prefab houses) and metal 
processing (heating, door, window and railing production), electric 
power plant, wood-burning district heating and power station. - Late 
Gothic parish church (1505-1511, enlarged from 1887-1889), Baroque 
altars with Gothic stone pietà (1400) and crucifix (1646); 
Weyer ruin (12%%sup th/%  century, destroyed in 1490). Wilhelmgut 
museum.
