Bundesanstalten fuer Leibeserziehung (Federal Institutes for Physical Education), BAFL, federal schools, set up in 1946 (in Graz, Innsbruck and Vienna) and in 1980 (in Linz) for the training of sports instructors (also for physical education teachers in schools) and trainers of all kinds of sports and other fields (e.g. general physical education and fitness); subordinate to the Federal Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs.
