Donauföderation#
Donaufoederation (Danube Federation), planned and attempted the political and economic association of the nations of the Danube area and of the Balkans. After first attempts in the 19th century (L. Kossuth) Czechoslovakia, Romania and Yugoslavia concluded the Little Entente with the help of France (1920/21). It was directed against Hungary and existed until 1938. After World War II unrealistic plans were set up by political emigrants. In 1990 a working party of regions of several countries located on the River Danube was set up.
