Dreher, Anton der Ältere#

b. Klein-Schwechat (municipality of Schwechat, Lower Austria), June 7, 1810, d. Klein-Schwechat, Dec. 27, 1863, major industrialist; father of Anton Dreher the Younger. Apprentice under brewmaster Meichl, then took over his father's brewery in Klein-Schwechat in 1836; brewed a bottom-fermented beer stored in large cellars ("Schwechater Lagerbier"). From 1861 member of the Landtag and the Reichsrat.
