d. Rein (municipality of Eisbach, Styria), June 21, 1164. 1133 
Benedictine abbot of Biburg; 1147 Archbishop of Salzburg. Served as a 
diplomat during the Great Schism, was Pope Alexander III's main 
supporter against Friedrich Barbarossa. Buried in Salzburg Cathedral. 
Was worshipped as a saint but never actually canonised.
