!!!Eichmann, Karl Adolf

b. Solingen (Germany), March 19, 1906, 
d. Ramlah near Tel Aviv (Israel, executed), June 1, 1962, commercial 
representative, Obersturmbannfuehrer (Lieutenant Colonel) in the SS. 
Grew up in Linz, was member of the illegal NSDAP and SS, colleague of 
R. Heydrich; from 1941 was responsible for the transport of Jews to 
extermination camps. Fled to Argentina after the war, arrested by the 
Israeli Secret Service in Buenos Aires on May 11, 1960, then tried for 
war crimes and sentenced to death in Jerusalem in 1961.
