b. Tulln (Lower Austria), Nov. 13, 1900,
d. Vienna, Feb. 22, 1984, radio engineer, 1924 founded with his
brother Theodor E. (b. Jan. 2, 1899, d. March 8, 1940) the Radione
radio factory which produced radios and televisions until 1977. The
Radione R 2 portable radio was first manufactured in 1938, in 1957
Radione began selling their first portable televisions (Radionescop),
and in 1960 manufactured the first televisions that worked in part
with the help of transistors.
