!!!Erhard, Johann Christoph

b. Nuremberg (Germany), Feb. 21, 1795, 
d. Rome (Italy, suicide), Jan. 20, 1822, painter and etcher, studied 
in Nuremberg, 1816 travelled with J. A.  Klein to Vienna where he did 
landscape and plant studies, 1818 hiked with Klein and other artist 
friends to the Salzkammergut region and to Salzburg, 1819 travelled to 
Rome; documented Austrian regions in numerous drawings and etchings.
