b. Schloss Aicha vorm Walde (Germany), Aug. 25, 1863,
d. Baden (Lower Austria), Oct. 28, 1940, engineer, from 1892 pioneer
of trade promotion in Austria. 1910 placed in charge of the
construction of the Vienna Museum of Technology, (Technical Museum of
Industry and Commerce) 1918-1930 director of the Museum. The
historical approach underlying the museum's exhibition style was E.'s
idea.
