Evliyâ Çelebi#
Evliyâ Çelebi, Turkish writer of travel books, 17th century. In his "Fahrtenbuch" (10 vols.), fantastic tales about his travels, he mentions Vienna (especially St. Stephen´s Cathedral, where 1,000 monks lived in the tower); he counted 360 churches and monasteries in Vienna, with 470 spires.
