Feistritz an der Gail, Carinthia, municipality in the district of Villach, alt. 570 m, pop. 682, area 19.91 km2, located in the lower Gail valley at the mouth of the Feistritz stream on what is known as the "Dolomite-Karst Route". Timber processing industry. Impressive late Gothic church (15th century) with a large western tower (former fortified tower) and Gothic wall-paintings. Local custom: Kufen- und Kranzelstechen on Whit Monday.
