b. Landeck (Tyrol), Oct. 7, 1805, d. Rome (Italy), March 7, 1859, author, aesthetician, priest; 1835 professor at the University of Innsbruck, 1848 member of the Frankfurt Parliament. Reorganized the "Anima" seminary in Rome, where he was an important member of a circle of scholars and artists.
