Frauenstein, Upper Austria, district of Kirchdorf an der Krems, place
of pilgrimage in the municipality of Molln. The parish and pilgrimage
church was completed in 1488 and redecorated in Baroque style in the
17th century; the Baroque high altar (built at the end of the
17th century) contains a painting of the Virgin Mary credited
with miraculous powers (15th century) and a late Gothic
Madonna of Mercy (around 1515, attributed to G. Erhart, commissioned
by Maximilian I).
