Salzburg-Umgebung, alt. 670 m, pop. 1,200 (1981: pop. 955), area 21.41 
km%%sup 2/%, summer tourist resort (241,056 overnight stays) situated 
on the eastern shore of Lake Fuschlsee in Flachgau. - Forest 
maintenance office, summer luge track; meat and sausage factory. - 
Fuschl Castle (municipality of Hof near Salzburg), first documented 
mention in 1555, former hunting lodge of the Archbishop, converted 
into a hotel in the 1950s.
