d. Vienna, Nov. 4, 1937, pathologist, professor at the University 
of Vienna. Researched into skin resistance, significant achievements 
in food science (Gaertnersche Fettmilch) and the invention of numerous 
instruments and medical equipment (tonometer for testing 
blood-pressure, ergostat, pneumatophor, stethophonometer etc.).
