Ghon, Anton, b. Villach (Carinthia), Jan. 1, 1866, d. Prague (Czech Republic), April 23, 1936, anatomist, pathologist. Professor of pathological anatomy at the universities of Vienna and Prague, significant achievements in the fight against tuberculosis (Ghon-Kuess tuberculosis foci), detected how the tuberculosis pathogen developed.
