Gosaukamm Ridge, Salzburg province/Upper Austria, northwestern 
extension of the Dachstein massif (limestone); steep, rugged 
mountains, ideal for rock climbing; Gosau lakes at the western 
foothills. Border between the southern Salzkammergut and the Upper 
Tennengau region. Sloping towards the Zwieselalm in the north 
separated by the Steigl (alt. 2,018 m) from the Gosaustein (part of 
the Dachstein massif in the southeast). Peaks: Mandelkogel 2,279 m, 
Bischofsmuetze twin peak (Grosse Bischofsmuetze, 2,458 m, Kleine 
Bischofsmuetze, 2,430 m (province of Salzburg)).
