Graen, Christine, b. Graz (Styria), April 18, 1952, journalist 
and author. Lived in Botswana from 1978-1982, where she worked as a 
journalist and wrote her first novel; since then one of the most 
successful Austrian authors of detective stories (1994 Marlowe Prize 
for the best German detective story). Several of her novels have been 
made into films.
