Grefinger, Wolfgang Wolf Graefinger, Gräffinger, Greffinger#
Grefinger, Wolfgang (Wolf Graefinger, Graeffinger, Greffinger), b. Krems (?), Lower Austria, between 1470 and 1480, d. after 1515, composer, student of P. Hofhaimer around 1494; moved to Vienna at the beginning of the 16th century, organist at St. Stephen's cathedral. His compositions were highly popular and were reprinted several times until the middle of the 16th century. His songs for tenors lie stylistically between of the works of E. Lapicida and Arnold von Bruck.
