Grossraming, Upper Austria, municipality in the district of 
Steyr-Land, alt. 446 m, pop. 2,817, area 107.66 km%%sup 2/%, 
former iron industry town in the Ennstal valley, in the northern 
foothills of the Eisenwurzen mountains. - Grossraming-Reichraming 
run-of-river power station (built in 1950, 245,200 MWh), Austrian 
Limestone Alps National Park (area 1,250 km%%sup 2/% (since 
1997). Large construction company, production of garden gnomes, wood 
processing, some summer tourism. - Late Gothic parish church (1513, 
choir 1691, enlarged in 1936) with Baroque frescoes from the school of 
B. Altomonte (1759), bell (1522); museum of horse carriages, coaches 
and sleighs. - Monument to the geologist L. von Buch in 
Pechgraben (unusual granite deposit between at the transition area 
between the Lime Stone Alps and the Flysch zone;  Buchdenkmal.
