Grossmann, Agnes#

Grossmann, Agnes, b. Vienna, April 24, 1944, conductor; daughter of Ferdinand Grossmann. Trained as a pianist, had to break off her career for health reasons, studied in Vienna to be a conductor from 1974; head of the Vienna Singing Academy from 1983-1986, went to Canada in 1986/87 where she became a successful orchestral conductor; 1997/98 musical director of the Vienna Boys' Choir.
