Grosz, Wilhelm, b. Vienna, March 11, 1894, 
d. New York (USA), Dec. 10, 1939, composer, pianist, studied 
under F.  Schreker and G.  Adler. Went to Berlin in 1928 and worked in 
radio broadcasting and record studios, emigrated to the USA in 1934; 
wrote operas, ballets, film and dance music, renowned esp. for his 
foxtrot-tango ballads.
