Gschnitz, Tirol, municipality in the district of Innsbruck-Land, alt. 1,242 m, pop. 443, area 59.12 km2, holiday resort (44,270 overnight stays) in the Gschnitztal valley at the foot of Kirchdach mountain (2,840 m). Sawmill. Baroque parish church (around 1730) with ceiling frescoes by A. and J. Zoller (1759) and Rococo-style altars.
