Gschnitztal#
Gschnitz Valley, Tirol, western side valley of the Wipptal valley in the Stubai Alps. The Gschnitz Valley starts near the Bremerhuette mountain refuge (alt. 2,411 m), runs almost parallel to the Stubai Valley and ends at Steinach. It is drained by the Gschnitzbach stream, which also crosses Lake Simmingsee. The moraines in the Gschnitz Valley are an important indicator of the alpine glacial structure after the Ice Age.
