Hackl, Karlheinz#
Hackl, Karlheinz, b. Vienna, May 16, 1949, actor, Kammerschauspieler, producer. In 1972 debut at the Vienna Theater der Courage, 1974-1976 worked at the Vienna Volkstheater; 1977 engaged by B. Gobert at the Thalia-Theater in Hamburg; since 1978 member of the Vienna Burgtheater company; character parts and roles in musicals ("La Cage Aux Folles"; "Man of La Mancha"), film and television productions (among others with M. Streep, J. Mason, M. Schell); director at the Volkstheater (H. Ibsen's "Nora") and at the Theater in der Josefstadt (A. Schnitzler's "Liebelei", Oedoen v. Horváth's "Geschichten aus dem Wiener Wald"); since 1996 professor of role portrayal at the Reinhardt Seminar (drama school). Awarded the Kainz Medal in 1986.
