Herzig, Josef#
b. Sanok (Poland), Sept. 25, 1853, d. Vienna, July 4, 1924, chemist. From 1897 university professor in Vienna. Researched into natural substances, especially natural dyes, by analytical means, developed (together with H. Meyer) the method of methylimid-determination.
