!!!Hollenstein, Stephanie

b. Lustenau (Vorarlberg), July 18, 1886, 
d. Vienna, May 24, 1944, painter. Farmer´s daughter, studied 
painting in Munich and Rome, during World War I worked as nurse (in 
1915 went to the front as the medical worker Stephan H.), then painted 
war scenes. After the war became a member of the "Sonderbund" in 
Vienna, in 1926 joined the progressive group "Viennese Women´s 
Art" (1943 chairwoman). Produced mainly expressive landscapes and 
portraits. Her works are exhibited in the Museum of Military History 
and in the Albertina, since 1971 there has been a H. Gallery in 
Lustenau.
