Neumann, Paul, b. Vienna, June 13, 1875, d. Vienna, Feb. 9, 
1932, physician, swimmer. 1896 won the first gold medal in the 500m 
swimming competition at the 1st modern Olympic Games in Athens. 
Later he was among the first to advocate regular medical care for 
children and young people by school doctors.
