!!!Sabarsky, Serge

b. Vienna, Nov. 3, 1912, 
d. New York (USA), Feb. 23, 1996, art dealer and art collector. 
Initially worked as a graphic artist and stage designer in Vienna, 
emigrated to France in 1938 and to the USA in 1939. After working in 
the construction industry and the timber industry he opened a gallery 
in New York in 1968 and concentrated mainly on German and Austrian 
Jugendstil and Expressionism (Egon  Schiele, Gustav  Klimt, etc.). 
From the 1980s he dedicated himself to itinerant exhibitions of his 
own collection and to the founding of the Egon Schiele cultural centre 
in Česky Krumlov (Czech Republic).
