Soyka, Otto, b. Vienna, May 9, 1882, d. Vienna, Dec. 2, 
1955, writer and journalist. Worked for the socio-ethical magazine  
"Fackel, Die", was very successful with a new type of suspense novel 
(including elements of crime and detective novels, adventures in 
fantasy worlds, psychological insights). Emigrated to France 1938, 
returned to Vienna 1948, where he lived a poor and lonely life until 
he died.
