b. Fridau Palace (municipality of Ober-Grafendorf, Lower Austria), June 30, 1894, d. St. Poelten (Lower Austria), April 13, 1945 (shot), landowner. During the Corporative State, commander of the front militia of the district of St. Poelten. Member of a non-partisan resistance group. On April 9,1945 was arrested with his wife and ten resistance fighters (amongst them many policemen) in Pottenbrunn Palace. Two days before the arrival of the Soviet troops he was shot in St. Poelten.
