!!Zürn Ziern, Zirn, Zörn, Bildhauerfamilie\\

Zuern (Ziern, Zirn, Zoern), family of sculptors from Swabia. In the
17th century, three generations of the family worked in Upper Swabia,
Bavaria, Upper Austria and Moravia. Worked exclusively for the church
(altars, pulpits, sculptures of saints in wood and stone); their work
contains strong elements of late Gothic principles of form and thus
considerably influenced the specific character of Southern German
baroque sculpturing. The most important family member was Michael
Zuern the Younger (1654-1698).
