Huge underwater "forests of Kelp" are common along the Pacific coast, from Vancouver Island down to Mexico (Baha California).

SCUBA divers have to watch out that their equipment does not get intangled, yet when the reach a clearing in the kelp they are rewarded with an incredible rich collection of fish.
