North of the city centre of Kotka Langinkosken keisarillinen kalastusmaja, Keisarinmajantie, ... the river Kymijoki forms rapids. In the 19th century tsar Alexander III. owned a fishing hut in Langinkoski and spent several holidays in it. Furthermore the river and especially the site of the rapids are renowned for its salmon.
