The bombarde could be described as a Breton version of oboe making a reedy sound. Traditionally it is played in duo with a bagpipe, the biniou. The Celtic roots of Breton music are unmistakable. %% %%lang,german Aus allen Winkeln dröhnt bretonische Volksmusik, die aus dem Zusammenklang von Bombarde und Biniou entsteht. Die Bombarde könnte man als bretonische Volksoboe bezeichnen, die einen grell-durchdringenden Ton von sich gibt. Traditionell wird sie im Duo mit einem Dudelsack, dem Biniou, gespielt.
