But to make the Vikos Gorge Vikos Gorge the deepest canyon of the world according to the Guinness Book of Records, it needs a little trick, because there are obviously deeper canyons elsewhere. But if you take the proportion regarding depth and width, the Vikos Gorge really is at the very top.

Warum die Vikos-Schlucht Vikos Gorge jedoch als tiefster Canyon der Welt im Guiness-Buch der Rekorde steht, bedarf eines kleinen Tricks, denn anderswo existieren noch deutlich tiefere Schluchten. Nimmt man jedoch das Verhältnis von Tiefe und Breite als Maßstab, dann steht die Vikos-Schlucht tatsächlich ganz oben.
