Kastello Kritinia [{GoogleMap location='Kritinia Castle, Rhodes, Greece' zoom='16'}] becomes visible just before one reaches the West Coast of the island. 

At some stage this was another one of the many fortresses the Knights of Rhodes built to defend the island. 

It is now easy to reach via a well-kept path offering many interesting views.
