Nearly 1.500 stone monuments are found on the Dingle Peninsula [{GoogleMap location='dingle, ireland' zoom='11' title='Dingle'}], the northernmost peninsula of the County Kerry. Numerous prehistoric and early medieval remains including beehive huts, ogham stones, early churches as well as some fortifications built in the Iron Age are scattered around the peninsula.
