The construction of the New Cathedral, though started in 1604, was only completed in 1825. Initially it was designed by Palladio, but due to economic reason younger and less famous local architects and artists had to complete the work. It shows the typical elements of baroque architecture.

Der Bau der neuen Kathedrale begann zwar im Jahre 1604, wurde aber erst 1825 vollendet. Ursprünglich von Palladio geplant, mußte der Bau aber aus wirtschaftlichen Gründen von jüngeren und weniger berühmten lokalen Architekten und Künstlern fertig gestellt werden. Er zeigt die typischen Elemente barocker Bauweise.
