The small town Cremona[{GoogleMap location='Cremona, Italy' zoom='8'}] with its about 70,000 inhabitants is especially known for the violin maker families Amati, Guarneri and Stradivari. In this typical North Italian city with its brick architecture, apart from the Loggia and the Torrazzo, the bell tower of the Cathedral, the Ponchielli Theater is worth to be mentioned: built in 1806 on the ruins of the Teatro della Società from 1747, which was destroyed by fire.
