Schwanthaler, Johann Peter the Younger, b. Ried im Innkreis (Upper Austria), July 2, 1762, d. Ried im Innkreis, June 10, 1838, sculptor; son of Johann Peter Schwanthaler the Elder, brother of Franz Jakob Schwanthaler. 1798-1838 headed the family workshop in Ried.
